Every month we accept new collections or additions to existing\u00a0ones, then update our finding aids<\/a> as soon as possible so that you can search for new content. \u00a0Here are some interesting new additions:<\/p>\n

To the National Organization for Women, Connecticut Chapter Records<\/a>, we received a large set of records from the Greater New Haven Chapter, which recently voted to close down. \u00a0The\u00a0new records span about 30 years of the chapter’s activities, where they focused on issues of women’s health and access to birth control and abortion services, the workplace, education and advocacy.<\/p>\n

For the Leroy Beaujon Railroad Collection<\/a>, which holds Mr. Beaujon’s research materials and photographs of the Central New England Railway and its predecessor lines, we received a set of correspondence, from the 1970s through the 1990s, between Mr. Beaujon and many noted railroad historians and enthusiasts, including Robert Lord, Carleton Mabee, William McDermott, Robert Nimke, David Peters, Bernard Rudberg, J.W. Swanberg, and Thomas Taber III.<\/p>\n

For the Louise Gaffney Flannigan Papers<\/a> we received a new photograph of Louise, as a gift from Mr. Michael Grosso of New Hampshire, who tells us he found the photo in an album compiled by his great-grandfather. \u00a0Apparently his ancestor was not a relation of Louise and Mike has no idea why he would have had the photograph. Luckily it\u00a0was identified and Mike searched for the name, found us and contacted us to make the donation. \u00a0Note that we recently put the Flannigan Papers online in our digital repository<\/a>; the new photograph will be on the website soon but you can see a photo of Louise and her husband Frank<\/a> right now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
