{"id":816,"date":"2009-12-14T15:00:49","date_gmt":"2009-12-14T19:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/doddcenter.wordpress.com\/?p=816"},"modified":"2009-12-14T15:00:49","modified_gmt":"2009-12-14T19:00:49","slug":"archives-contributes-to-city-university-of-new-york-2010-calendar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/2009\/12\/14\/archives-contributes-to-city-university-of-new-york-2010-calendar\/","title":{"rendered":"Archives Contributes to City University of New York 2010 Calendar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dodd Research Center\u00a0was among more than 100 public colleges and universities in all 50 states that contributed to the 2010 City University of New York\u2019s (CUNY) calendar, website and curriculum project by sharing historic images and milestones from their own past.<\/p>\n<p>Entitled, \u201cInvesting in Futures: Public Higher Education in America,\u201d the 2010 calendar project is the sixth such collaboration bringing together CUNY, the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives and The New York Times Knowledge Network, with support provided by founding sponsors JPMorgan Chase and TIAA-CREF.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_824\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/doddcenter.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/uconn_asc_1988-0010_ph0122.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-824\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-824\" src=\"http:\/\/doddcenter.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/uconn_asc_1988-0010_ph0122.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2009\/12\/uconn_asc_1988-0010_ph0122.jpg 574w, https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2009\/12\/uconn_asc_1988-0010_ph0122-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/archives\/files\/2009\/12\/uconn_asc_1988-0010_ph0122-353x300.jpg 353w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-824\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">War Effort on Campus, from the University of Connecticut Archives<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The calendar will have two photographs from the Archives, one that will appear on the page that highlights the efforts on college campuses during\u00a0World War II and another they have labeled &#8220;milestones&#8221;,\u00a0which will include our own\u00a0Huskies women&#8217;s basketball team\u00a0at the final game of the\u00a0N.C.A.A. tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The LaGuardia and Wagner Archives, which produced the calendar, is housed at CUNY\u2019s LaGuardia Community College in Queens, New York.
