Brooke graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts, where she earned a BFA in Studio Art with studies in Photography, Video Art, and Communication Design and a Minor in Digital Arts. Before returning to UConn, she worked as a Hilla Rebay Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in Trinity College's Studio Art Department in Hartford, CT.
