Now these data are available in an interactive graphical interface thanks to the work of Steve Batt, associate director of the Connecticut State Data Center\u2014a collaboration between the University of Connecticut (UConn) Libraries, the UConn Department of Geography, and the State of Connecticut Office of Policy and Management. You can access and customize the graphs for \u201cInflation-adjusted expenditures for individual ARL libraries, 1987\u20132014\u201d in addition to the \u201cMedian library expenditures among ARL libraries, 1963\u20132014\u201d and \u201cPercent change in expenditures, 1987\u20132014.\u201d Batt used data from the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arl.org\/news\/arl-news\/3744-arl-statistics-2013-2014-published#.VhMP_aLSg3g\"><em>ARL Statistics<\/em> publication<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/arlstatistics.org\/analytics\">ARL Statistics Analytics<\/a> along with\u00a0Tableau data-visualization software to create these interactive graphs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/public.tableau.com\/profile\/ct.census.data#!\/\">Batt\u2019s Tableau Public page<\/a> includes many more data-visualization stories, including a series of interactive graphs from the US National Center for Education Statistics <a href=\"https:\/\/public.tableau.com\/views\/AcademicLibrariesSurvey2012\/Story1?:embed=y&amp;:display_count=yes&amp;:showTabs=y\">Academic Libraries Survey 2012<\/a> and from the <a href=\"https:\/\/public.tableau.com\/views\/ARLInvestmentIndex\/Story1?:embed=y&amp;:display_count=yes&amp;:showTabs=y\">ARL Library Investment Index 2003\u20132014<\/a>, an annual summary measure of the relative size of the university library members of the Association of Research Libraries.<\/p>\n<h1>About the Association of Research Libraries<\/h1>\n<p>The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) is a nonprofit organization of 124 research libraries in the US and Canada.
