Participants will develop skills and applications of geospatial technologies for curricular integration. The program includes:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Both field and in-class hands-on activities<\/li>\n<li>Review\/synthesis of research on Spatial and<\/li>\n<li>Linguistic Cognition, Birth-Adulthood<\/li>\n<li>Integrating geospatial technologies using the fourfold approach of Actual, Virtual, Critical and Ethical application<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to Google Earth<\/li>\n<li>Using GPS &amp; Local Geocache<\/li>\n<li>Discussion of classroom and age-appropriate applications of geospatial technologies<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to GIS: Online GIS services and tools, hands-on lesson in ArcGIS<\/li>\n<li>GPS at the Fairfield Museum: Using documentary protocols to build local history\/geography connections with GPS and Digital photography<\/li>\n<li>Designing Student Activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>For more information:<\/div>\n<div>Contact our Graduate School of Education &amp; Allied Professions at 203-254-4250 or visit us online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairfield.edu\/gseap\/\">http:\/\/www.fairfield.edu\/gseap\/<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>This course is open to both matriculated and nonmatriculated students.
