Using data from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.census.gov\/sipp\/\">Survey of Income  and Program Participation (SIPP)<\/a>, the report traces the changing income levels  of a representative sample of U.S. residents over a 48-month period (February  2004 to January 2008).
