Yes, the best maps are the ones freely given!  These maps came to me by a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geo.wvu.edu\/~ehopkins\/\">friend<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/wvgis.wvu.edu\/\">WV GIS Technical Center<\/a> a couple years ago.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The best thing about these maps is that they came with a book!  The book&#8217;s title is &#8220;Annual Report of the State Geologist for the Year 1907&#8221;  The reports included within are:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=X3UNAAAAYAAJ&amp;ots=sHgXGFXF9G&amp;dq=newark%20igneous%20rock&amp;pg=PA102#v=onepage&amp;q=newark%20igneous%20rock&amp;f=false\">Newark Igneous Rocks of New Jersey<\/a>, <\/li>\n<li>Notes on the Mineral Industry with Mineral Statistics, <\/li>\n<li>A report on the Improvement of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.njmanasquan.com\/manasquan-nj-inlet.shtml\">Manasquan Inlet<\/a> and, <\/li>\n<li>A detailed report on an Inland Waterway from <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=Cape+May&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=Cape+May,+New+Jersey&amp;gl=us&amp;ei=jZoWTLzPOoOglAeZ07CJDQ&amp;ved=0CCYQ8gEwAA&amp;t=h&amp;z=13\">Cape May<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=Bay+Head+NJ&amp;sll=38.935112,-74.906005&amp;sspn=0.096808,0.152607&amp;gl=us&amp;g=Cape+May,+NJ&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=Bay+Head,+Ocean,+New+Jersey&amp;ll=40.070715,-74.092484&amp;spn=0.380954,0.610428&amp;t=h&amp;z=11\">Bay Head<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>The maps within outline the report on the Inland Waterway that may have more than a strong connection to the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Intracoastal_Waterway\">Intracoastal Waterway<\/a> that was authorized in 1919 by the U<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/66th_United_States_Congress\">nited States Congress<\/a>.  Below are the maps included with the text that can&#8217;t be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/\">Google Books<\/a> or The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.nj.us\/dep\/\">N.J. DEP<\/a>.
