This unique perspective includes a limited view of the region with a 70 mile range and highlights numerous gas and coal fields along with railroads connecting the region.<\/p>\n<p>A notable location on the map includes the Hocking Coal Fields (southeast of Columbus) which includes <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Straitsville,_Ohio\">New Straitsville, Ohio.<\/a> This was the site of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohiohistorycentral.org\/entry.php?rec=521\">1884 coal miners strike<\/a> where striking coal miners planned for their strike in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oll.state.oh.us\/your_state\/remarkable_ohio\/marker_details.cfm?marker_id=106118\">Robinson&#8217;s Cave<\/a>,  and pushed burning coal cars into a coal mine owned by the New Straitsville Mining Company, setting the mine ablaze.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uconnlibrariesmagic\/3551240169\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;float: left;cursor: pointer;width: 311px;height: 275px\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_zfcRw4HNDp8\/StTGXQTcMYI\/AAAAAAAAAE0\/Cs7imh_b78U\/s400\/mine.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While not completed until 1903, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Columbus,_Delaware_and_Marion_Railway\">Columbus, Delaware, and Marion interurban electric railway<\/a> is clearly depicted on this map.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uconnlibrariesmagic\/3551240169\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;float: left;cursor: pointer;width: 248px;height: 400px\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_zfcRw4HNDp8\/StTHJYHdY_I\/AAAAAAAAAE8\/yi3jKaDma_w\/s400\/cdm_railway.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are several other interesting locations on this map.
