This website includes stories about people, traditions, innovations, and events that make up the rich history of the state of Connecticut. Each week new content, connections are added to the site.<\/p>\n<p>The site includes the ability to view content by topics, people, and towns. With a combination of photographs, illustrations, documents, web resources, and more you will want to spend some time exploring the site in greater detail. With an easy to navigate interface, users will enjoy viewing the <a href=\"http:\/\/connecticuthistory.org\/towns-page\/\" target=\"_blank\">Connecticut History Towns Page<\/a> which features images from each of Connecticut&#8217;s 169 towns plus links to information pertaining to each town. With the entire website continuing to expand with new stories weekly we encourage readers to view the site weekly and you can following the site from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/CT_History\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ConnecticutHistoryorg\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, and even subscribe to the <a href=\"http:\/\/connecticuthistory.org\/?feed=rss2\" target=\"_blank\">RSS feed<\/a> for the website.<\/p>\n<p>This website was developed in partnership with the <a href=\"http:\/\/chnm.gmu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media<\/a> at George Mason University and features content from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/connecticutexplored.org\/\">Connecticut Explored<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cthistoryonline.org\/\">Connecticut History Online<\/a>, and\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctsocialstudies.org\/\">The Connecticut Council for Social Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Connecticut Humanities Council\u00a0has released a new website dedicated to Connecticut History at connecticuthistory.org.
