{"id":868,"date":"2013-04-24T13:43:42","date_gmt":"2013-04-24T18:43:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/outsidetheneatline\/?p=868"},"modified":"2013-04-24T13:43:42","modified_gmt":"2013-04-24T18:43:42","slug":"2012-connecticut-statewide-4-band-aerial-imagery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-dev.lib.uconn.edu\/outsidetheneatline\/2013\/04\/24\/2012-connecticut-statewide-4-band-aerial-imagery\/","title":{"rendered":"2012 Connecticut statewide 4-band aerial imagery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2012 statewide aerial imagery is now available!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cteco.uconn.edu\/map_services.htm\">http:\/\/www.cteco.uconn.edu\/help\/info_orthos2012.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some of the basic facts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 bands (R,G,B,NIR)<\/li>\n<li>1 foot pixel resolution<\/li>\n<li>Flown in March 2012 (leaf-off)<\/li>\n<li>Each tile covers 2.3 square kilometers (0.897 sq mi) and is 97.696 MB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was paid for through a partnership between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct.gov\/despp\/site\/default.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP)<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct.gov\/dot\/site\/default.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT)<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nga.mil\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA)<\/a> along with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usgs.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">United States Geological Survey (USGS) <\/a>providing support through project management, contracting and quality assurance\/quality control (QA\/QC).<\/p>\n<p>The download interface allows you to download a mosaic for a whole town in JP2 format, or as individual GeoTiffs or MrSIDs.
